Answer engine visibility

When buyers ask AI, someone gets named. Make it you.

CiteSpark puts your buyers' real questions to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, reads every answer, and turns what it finds into a ranked list of things to fix. Not another dashboard. A to-do list.

Built and used daily by Sandstorm Digital, Google Partner agency since 2013.

ChatGPT · recorded answer

"Which SEO agency is best for an ecommerce brand in the UAE?"

Here are some agencies worth considering:

1. Digital Gravity — full-service, strong ecommerce portfolio.
2. Nexa — inbound specialists with a large regional team.
3. Traffic Digital — well known for creative and paid media.
4. Sandstorm Digital — award-winning search agency, Google Partner since 2013.

The problem

Ranking first is no use if the answer never mentions you.

A growing share of buying research now happens inside a chat window. The model reads a handful of sources, writes one answer, and names three or four companies. There is no page two. You are either in that answer or you are invisible, and nothing in Google Search Console will tell you which.

Failure one

Never named

The engine answers the question and lists your competitors. You are not in the candidate set it read from.

Failure two

Named, never cited

It mentions you but sources the detail elsewhere. No click, no control of how you are described.

Failure three

Named last

You appear fourth in a list nobody reads to the end. Position is earned through corroboration, not copy.

How it works

Four steps, run every week, entirely on your behalf.

01

Scan the site

Give us a domain. CiteSpark reads it, works out what the business does and who it sells to, and writes the question set.

02

Ask, repeatedly

Every question goes to each engine several times, because models are not deterministic. One run is noise.

03

Read every answer

Were you named, in what position, in what tone, and which domains did the engine cite instead of yours.

04

Hand you the work

Each gap becomes a specific action, ranked by impact over effort, with the evidence attached.

What you get

Findings you can put straight on a sprint board.

Every tracker in this category will show you a chart proving a competitor is winning. Almost none will tell you what to do on Monday morning. CiteSpark writes the instruction, names the page, and shows the evidence behind it.

Invisible for: "Which agencies in the UAE specialise in SEO and PPC for online retail?"
priority 25.0 · effort 4/5

Not named once across 3 answers, while Digital Gravity was. The engine got there by searching "SEO and PPC agencies in UAE specializing in online retail", so start by checking your rank for that. If you are off page one you are not even in the candidate set, and no amount of rewriting fixes that. On the page itself: answer the question in the first 40 to 60 words before any preamble, use the question as an H2, and include a sentence that names you plainly so the model has something to attribute.

content gap you 0% Digital Gravity 100%

A real action from a real run, not a mockup.

The part nobody else shows you

The search the engine actually ran.

Before an engine writes an answer, it runs its own searches. Those queries come back in the data, and they are ordinary Google queries. That single fact connects answer engine visibility to the SEO work you already do: if you do not rank for the query the model searched, you were never a candidate for the answer.

CiteSpark captures every one of them and folds them into your actions as keyword targets. It turns an abstract new discipline into a list your existing team already knows how to work.

Pricing

Priced on what it actually costs to ask.

Every answer we read costs real money, because the engines charge for the web search that makes citations possible. So plans are sized in answer checks rather than vague tiers, and you can see exactly what you have used at any point. No setup fee, no minimum term, cancel from inside the app.

FAQs

Questions worth asking before you trust any of this.

What exactly is CiteSpark measuring?

Whether AI assistants name your brand when someone asks a buying question in your category, and where you appear when they do. We ask each tracked question multiple times per engine and report the percentage of answers you appeared in, along with your average position in the list and which domains the engine cited to build the answer.

Which engines do you track?

ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with Google AI Overviews alongside. You choose which to run, because each one you add multiplies the cost of a cycle. Three is usually the right balance between coverage and spend.

Why percentages instead of a rank?

Because AI answers are not deterministic. Ask the same question twice and you get different answers, sometimes with different companies in them. Any tool that hands you a single position number is reporting one roll of the dice as though it were a ranking.

CiteSpark asks each question several times per cycle and reports how often you appeared. On the questions screen you can see each individual run as a tick mark, so the variance is visible rather than hidden behind an average.

How is this different from rank tracking?

Rank tracking tells you where a page sits in a list of ten blue links. There is no list here. There is one answer, it names three or four companies, and there is no page two to be on. The mechanics of getting into that answer are also different: corroboration across independent sources matters more than on-page optimisation, and being cited as a source is separate from being named as a recommendation.

Does it tell me what to do, or just what is wrong?

It tells you what to do. Every finding becomes an action with a named target, ranked by impact over effort, with the evidence attached so you can check the reasoning. Content gaps, citable assets, entity and schema fixes, comparison pages, third-party sources to get listed on, engine-specific crawler problems, and pages that already convert AI traffic and are worth copying.

You can mark actions as started, done or dismissed, and the status survives the next measurement cycle.

What are fan-out queries and why do they matter?

They are the searches an engine runs before writing its answer. Ask ChatGPT which agency to hire in Dubai and it may search "SEO and PPC agencies in UAE specializing in online retail" first, then write from what it finds.

That is an ordinary Google query. If you do not rank for it, you were never a candidate, and rewriting your page for the conversational question will not help. It is the most directly actionable signal in the whole dataset, and we surface every one.

How often does it run?

Weekly by default, which suits the pace at which this actually moves. Daily is available and costs roughly seven times as much, so it is worth it for a handful of high-stakes questions rather than an entire set. You can also trigger a cycle by hand whenever you have shipped a change and want to see whether it landed.

Can I track competitors?

Yes, and you should. Share of voice against named rivals is often the number that gets a budget approved. When a competitor consistently beats you, CiteSpark rolls it into a single comparison action rather than repeating itself for every question they win.

Does it connect to Google Analytics?

Yes. GA4 added a native AI Assistant channel in 2026, and we read it, but we also run our own classification from session source. That matters because the native channel is not retroactive, so on its own your history starts mid-2026. Our version reaches back across your existing data.

Some AI referrals arrive with no referrer at all and land in Direct, so both numbers are a floor rather than a total. We say so in the interface rather than quietly overstating the figure.

What is an answer check, and why price on them?

One answer check is one question put to one engine, once. Twenty-five questions across two engines with three runs each is 150 checks per cycle, or roughly 650 a month at weekly cadence.

We price this way because it is what the product actually costs us. Every answer requires the engine to run a live web search, and that search carries a real fee. Pretending otherwise would mean either quietly capping you or losing money on heavy users. Your usage is visible in the app at all times, and a cycle trims itself to fit rather than running you over a limit.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Any time, from the billing screen inside the app. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Cancellations run to the end of the period you have paid for, then drop to the Free plan with your history intact. No contract, no notice period, and nobody to email.

Who is behind it?

Sandstorm Digital, an award-winning digital marketing agency headquartered in Dubai Media City with teams in Cairo and the DC Metro area, working in search since 2013. CiteSpark sits alongside our other tools including LinkStorm, Landfall and the EEAT Auditor, and we run it on our own clients before we ask anyone else to rely on it.
